Some common diseases, such as: diabetes , high blood pressure (Hypertension), high blood fats, calcification and hardening of the arteries in the body.

Innervation problems : such as after a herniated disc in the spine, or after pelvic surgery or radiotherapy.

Depression and Anxiety: Two very common illnesses, one of their prominent symptoms is decreased libido and decreased sexual performance.

Heart disease and its treatments : It can harm the level of sexual performance. A person who has had a heart attack can return to his normal sexual life, but he only needs help and encouragement.

Erectile dysfunction treatment

Erectile dysfunction treatment

There are a variety of treatments that help treat erectile dysfunction, including the following:

1. Medicines

The first line of treatment that is known today is the following drug group:

Sildenafil (Sildenaphil).

Vardenafil.

Tadalaphil.

ﭬAvanafil.

These medicines are sold in pharmacies, and every doctor can give them in appropriate cases. These medicines have minor and transient side effects, including the following:

Mild redness in the cheeks.

A slight drop in blood pressure is reflected in a feeling of dizziness, a slight feeling of weakness and nausea.

Most of these symptoms resolve before they start having sex after about an hour, but most patients do not have side effects that are severe enough to stop taking them again.

However, it is prohibited to take these medicines with medicines that contain nitrates, such as: medicines to increase blood flow in the coronary arteries in heart patients, and it is also forbidden to take them for anyone whose physical, medical or psychological condition does not allow them to have sex.

2. Testosterone alternatives

This hormone is considered a regulator of sexual desire. In some cases of erectile dysfunction, doctors may advise conducting tests to find out its concentration in the blood, and if it turns out that its concentration is low, then doctors advise alternatives to testosterone as an appropriate treatment.

Sometimes doctors may prescribe a combination of sildenafil and testosterone replacement therapy, which can be successful.

A person who cannot take one of these medicines orally, or a person who finds that this medicine does not help him, may be helped by direct injection into the penis (corpora cavernosa), where active substances are injected into the blood vessels.

3. Uncommon treatments

A special Vacuum pump can be used to produce a strong erection, which is held by a ring at the base of the penis.

Another treatment available today is the direct intraurethral injection of Alprostadil, a vasodilator, which has shown satisfactory results during recent scientific research .

4. Surgical operations

If all of the above-mentioned erectile dysfunction treatment methods fail, it is recommended that surgeries be considered, such as:

Prosthesis implantation process

This surgery is simple and its success rate is very good, and the doctor's participation in the decision-making process and in the therapeutic measures greatly increases the chances of success, and increases the willingness of the therapists to receive treatment.

Penile revascularization surgery

It is another surgery available, but with relatively low success rates. In a few special cases, this operation may be an effective treatment.

The doctor must diagnose these conditions, and in any case, there are clinics in every major hospital that specialize in the treatment of erectile dysfunction and erectile dysfunction .
